A Cafe near exhibition hall.

Last week i visited Gwangju Biennale. It was been a long time to see the exhibition.

It was strange that what i was inspired was not a artwork, but a cafe neat the exhibition hall. 

The cafe reminds me an artist, Johnas Wood. When i saw his artwork at London Art Fair, I fall in love with it at first sight.  Plants having green color and furnitures in normal life places make me feel comfortable since it looks like my home. My mother ran flower shop and she knows the name and speciality of many wild plants. Also, she has a green thumb. Always my home have quite a large space for greens plants and flowers in balcony or living room.  

Anyway, I really really wanted to put greeny oil color artwork in my room. I would miss this place.

i spent some time browsing this book today. i'm not a very big fan of his photographs but there are some diary-fragements in it that are very beautiful and interesting to read. the tablecloth with the little flowers was a present from renilde, i like it a lot. and the baby mickey is a candle i found in a thriftstore :)

finally all the boxes in the apartment are unpacked.  (a few left in the hallway though, but i guess they'll stay there forever)

머뭇거리는 사람. Hesitating person.

무언가에 대해 이야기 할때, 한마디로 정의하고 이것은 그런거라고 정답을 일갈하는 사람 보다는, 머뭇 머뭇...거리면서 고민하고 또 생각하고 말하면서 또 생각하며 조심스러워 하는 그런 사람이 나는 더 익숙하다. 요즘엔 말하는게 참 지겹고... 의견을 말하는게 스트레스다. 그런데 이 곳에 있는 사람들은 아무 것도 생각하지 않고 일단은 머리 속에 있는 모든 생각을 다듬는 과정없이 무조건 말을 일단 밷고 본다. 그게 아이디어를 내는데 더 좋은 방법인 것 같긴 하지만.. 아직도 적응이 어렵기만 하다.

The best flipbook ever!!! I can't imagine how the illustrator have an effort to make it!!! I know that is a labor-intensive work.

Exploring London

This is my story. There is someone who is exploring London and he/she is being inspired by long terraced buildings and their individuality. The important thing is he or she learned british culture through watching people in them. I hope more people enjoy London with my flip book in a short time.

아카데미 시상식의 단편영화부문에서 후보로 올랐던 I Met the Walrus 나는 존레논을 만났다 (2008). 한창 UCC가 성행하던 시절에 영상찾아 보는게 재미였던 그 때 단편영화에 관심이 생겼었다. 카메라 그리고 영상편집 프로그램만 있다면 누구나 영상작품을 만들수 있다고 여기저기서 UCC 특수노리고 제작하던 그때다. (그런데 아무리 생각해도 UCC의 원조는 동성로 시스터즈 같다.ㅋ)  광화문 시네큐브에서 열리는 아시아나 단편영화제에서 내가 봤던 세편의 영화중에 하나이자 가장 보고 싶었던 필름.  음성으로 남아있는 인터뷰내용을 세련된 방식으로 시각화 해서 보여준다. 음성파일 그대로라면 또는 글로도 옮겨졌더라도 존레논의 자료 중 하나로 남아있었을텐데, 영상으로 바꾼 덕분에 더 많은 사람들에게 쉽게 전해질 뿐더러 또 하나의 예술작품이 세상에 나오게 되었다. 모든 장면장면이 너무 멋지다.
